Founding Statement
New Beginnings
The Investment Banking Club traces its beginning to the passion and dedication of a group of students committed to expanding their understanding of finance beyond the curriculum of any classroom. The conceptual framework of the organization was formed in early 2002, and the club was eventually founded the fall semester of that year.
A belief in the capabilities of UW-Madison students was ultimately the catalyst that led to the creation of the Investment Banking Club. A group of driven overachievers recognized that the
University of Wisconsin-Madison was under-recruited by Wall Street. With their passion for finance, Midwestern work ethic, and a team mindset, the Investment Banking Club has flourished around the common goal of providing Wisconsin students with the resources to become successful investment bankers.
